INSIGHT Magazine
Winter 2021

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) releases INSIGHT Magazine annually. Winter 2021's issue was about all of the different events of 2020, from Covid-19 to the Black Lives Matter protests.

This year, I was able to help design the cover feature, "In their own words" alongside Michael Curiel. I also designed the forth feature "Would an office by any other name smell as sweet?" and the back of the book.

"In their own words" featured four black members of the TCSPP community, each talking about what the past year has meant to them. We wanted to make this feel personal, so we came up with the idea to use a handwritten script font with text from their story as part of the purple background. The purple chosen is a nod to the Black Lives Matter organization, whose main color is purple. We also included a "signature" style font to add to their stories. We did this to show that these were their written words.
